It is my pleasure to present for auction items belonging to the International President of the Lions Club, HARRY J. ASLAN and his wife. These items have been recently acquired from a museum in Kingsburg, California and many were displayed in the museum. They were gifts to Mr. Aslan from several international dignitaries
from China to New Zealand, Philippines and beyond.
For your auction consideration I have this beautiful pair of Mother of Pearl shell dishes. The large dish measures approx. 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" and the smaller one is 6 1/2" x 6 1/2". The total weight of the 2 is 1 lb 11 oz. These are in excellent condition and I do not see any cracks or chips on the edges.
The oyster or caviar dishes were a
gift to Mr. Aslan and his wife and were also part of the exhibition at the Kingsburg, California museum. As you can see there are notations on the back regarding their presentations. The small one has a sticker while the larger one appears to have been painted on the surface. I feel confident that both can be removed. Zamboanga is a city in the Philippines.
