Description

For your consideration, a Moro Gunong.
This Gunong has a blade with a medial ridge, it has a diamond cross section. The blade is free of active rust.
The ferrule and cross guard are of aluminum which suggests post WWII manufacture. The cross guard has been engraved with okir design. The pistol grip pommel is hewn from root wood with flashing grains.
The scabbards top edge has a white metal band, I’m not sure of its composition, it doesn’t look aluminum. The bottom band is a copper alloy metal.
The knife fits well into the scabbard. Hilt and blade are tight together.
