    EUREKA ANTWERP ANTIQUES
    4 Pieces Sawankhalok ceramic boxes with lid, 14/15th century. Globular fruit form, decorated in blue/brown. On top of the lid is a bird or something. This type of box was used for storing cosmetics, medicine, spices and betel-chewing equipment. In very good condition, no restorations. The biggest box with lid is about 3,14” (8cm) tall and has a diameter of about 4,72” (12cm).
    Thai pottery from the Sukhothai period from the kilns of S(r)i Satchanalai, around Sawankhalok in north-central Thailand. This period started in the 13th until the 16th century.
